Great Stories - This book set is a must for anyone that is a fan of the sherlock holmes series. It's great that its in paper back so no matter how many times you read it the binding doesn't break. Great stories from a great author

Very Enjoyable - This is my first time reading any Sherlock Holmes stories, and I am extremely glad I bought it. The stories and characters are engaging and enjoyable. The mysteries are well thought out and the writing is good.

I will admit I got this after seeing the recent movie, but I am extremely glad I did. I have not finished them yet, preferring rather to take my time with them and go through a story or two every few days. But everything I have read so far has been highly enjoyable.

Complete Sherlock in Two Compact Volumes - This is a most excellent way to have Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's total Sherlock Holmes output in two slip-cased paperback volumes!

For Kindle users who've read previous reviews - The Kindle version of this DOES have a table of contents. In fact it has several which is probably why it is not linked from the Kindle's menu. When you open this in Kindle it starts on the first page of A Study in Scarlet, but if you press the previous button a few times you'll find not only the TOC (with working links) for this novel but going further, a TOC link to each book in the volume. I've also created bookmarks for the TOC's so I can find each of them easily (a personal quirk). As far as the content of the books, what can I say? It's Sherlock Holmes! You won't be disappointed. --Another happy Kindle customer :D

I love this book in every way. I do have a few gripes with this edition itself, and I'll list those below.

- The edition itself feels... fragile - It isn't going to fall apart or anything but it just feels too big :)
- I don't like the color scheme on the front
- The dust jacket is like all other dust jackets: annoying.

The book itself, however is revolutionary and exceptional in every way. If you haven't read it yet you need to.

Total: 5 stars. Don't let my gripes stop you from buying this edition: it's the best out there.

Really complete Sherlock Holmes - I was looking for a complete Sherlock Holmes, with all the short stories and the four novels in one volume. I also wanted the original Signey Paget illustrations. This book has them both and it is an excellent value. The quality of the images is quite good and the page thickness is not so bad that the book ends up being a foot thick. Overall an excellent book.

A Great Childhood Memory - This is the edition of Sherlock Holmes that my husband owned as a child. We lost our old copy in a house fire and replaced it with a different version where the pages were too thin and the type too small to be readable. We finally found this edition again. He was thrilled to get it back and is reading it over and over. All the novels and stories in a very readable format.

Not quite 'complete' - I purposely bought this edition because I was looking for a particular short story that was not in my sherlock holmes collection. This edition stated that it was the 'complete' sherlock holmes. It's not! Naturally, the one story I really wanted was not in there. There is another short story collection that is missing from this 'complete' edition.

Great Value - Since the publishing houses for the top mystery authors have seen fit to raise their Kindle edition prices as much as 50% in the past two months I started looking at some of the classics I've never read. I was delighted to find the The Complete Sherlock Holmes Collection, the equal of over 1100 printed pages, for $3.60. A great bargain.

Love love love - Absolutely love the book I purchased! It wasn't in perfect condition but the note inside the cover and the used binding gives it character. I have no regrets in making this purchase :)

Wonderful Reading for Mystery Lovers - I really enjoyed reading the works of Arthur Conan Doyle. This collection is a fantastic addition to any murder mystery fan's library. The type set is easy to read and the binding and paper quality are very good. You can't beat the price for such a wonderful and historic collection of works. Doyle was a master. I highly recommend this book.

Content fine, typeface small - The two books include all of Doyles' SH writings, which is good. The typeface is very small, however, in case your eyesight is not good.

My wife loves the book. - I purchased this book for my wife and she hasn't been able to put it down since starting to read it.
